Set Progress: 1986

I have been making my way through the 1980’s of Topps sets starting from 1989. My current build is 1986 Topps, a set that holds the least nostalgia than any of the 1980’s sets. While I do not hate the 1986 design, it’s definitely not my favorite.

There really isn’t anything exciting about this set. I could have skipped it, but I don’t dislike it enough, and I didn’t want to be missing one set for the 1980’s run. Luckily it is an easy set without errors to chase.

I was able to purchase a vendor box and some rak packs from eBay for fairly cheap as the prices for a wax box on eBay were way too high. The vendor box provided a good starter set, but the rak packs really filled in the missing cards.

If you want information on the 1986 Topps set, head over to tradingcarddb. That site has the best information for putting together sets including printable checklists.

If you can help out, let me know in the comments.
