200 Trades

It has been approximately 735 days since my last blog post. That is just over two years. My absence was mostly due to the pandemic with an eight year old and being burn out. Thankfully, TCDB kept me interested in cards.

Last week I hit 200 trades on TCDB. While it felt like a slow process, 200 trades snuck up quickly.

Around two months ago, I started to go through my baseball, football, basketball, and hockey cards with the goal of thinning out the collection more. The last few years I have found less enjoyment with singles and more with set building. Sure I will still keep cards of my Twins and Wild, but everything else became trade fodder.

Fast forward a few weeks and I had 4,500 cards for trade. The trades went from a few a week to a few a day. It got to the point that I had to temporarily turn off trades to catch up.

I am not complaining. These stacks of cards is the result from trading for the past two weeks.

The 1981 Topps Rickey Henderson was actually an eBay purchase, but the rest are from trades.

As a kid, I built most of these sets, but at some point as a young adult I got rid of them.

Thankfully, junk wax is cheap and I have been having a blast trading to re-build these sets.

Here’s to another 200 trades.
